"I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked" Psalm 84:10
The Doorkeeper Ministry is dedicated to greeting our fellow disciples and guests with a cheerful smile, warm handshake and a "holy kiss" as directed by the Apostle Paul.
We stand ready to maintain proper decorum and prevent disruption to service when seating worshipers. We are available to assist each ministry of the Ebenezer family and to travel with our Pastor to various ministry activities.
We encourage new disciples to become involved in the many ministry opportunities and assist them to understand everyone's purpose.
To be women worthy of respect not malicious talkers but temperate and trustworthy in everything" I Timothy 3:11
A spiritual entity who's primary purpose is to assist our Pastor and Deacons Ministry whenever and wherever our services are needed.
We provide moral and prayerful guidance to female disciples and are always available to lend a confidential listening ear to those in need of emotional support.
We are willing workers in God's vineyard and derive great pleasure in ministering to the sick and shut-in with scripture and songs of Zion.
We will guide new female disciples as they become familiar with their Ebenezer Family and the various ministry opportunities designed for spiritual growth.
Our prayer is that God will direct our thoughts and actions as each of us strives to fulfill our divine purpose.
Let all the men make a joyful noise unto the Lord. Come before his presence with singing by joining the Male Chorus.
"For the Lord gives wisdom and from His mouth come knowledge and understanding" Proverbs 2:6

The Scholarship Ministry is available to meet with students and parents to provide the required policies and procedures for funding from our established scholarship as well as outside resources.
We encourage our youth to give their best for Jesus and to be shining Ambassadors for the Lord.
Reverend John W. Jones came to Baltimore in 1884 and was instrumental in organizing many churches in this area. In 1887 Reverend John W. Jones founded Ebenezer Baptist Church. He accomplished the works he was destined to do. He died in 1932.
The Reverend John W. Jones Memorial Ministry was organized in 1933 by Mrs. Virginia Stokes Ruffin. The group's mission was and is to keep the memory of the founder alive. Their early vision was to raise enough money to have a memorial window placed in the front of the church. In 1983, about fifty years to the day of conception, the vision became a reality.
The Master Life Discipleship class promotes a deep study of God's Word with a focus on commitment and accountability.
The Ebenezer Baptist Church Mass Choir was developed to meet the worshiping needs of the people musically. The choir should be able to lead the congregation in singing the praises of God. The choir should be able to create a sense of awe or mystery, a sense of celebration and a sense of meditation. It should provide an experience of invitation, and experience of joy and an experience of closure. The Mass choir sings a variety of Sacred Music, Hymns, Anthems, Spirituals and Gospel. Each choir member should consider himself as a minister and should hold singing as a calling with the inspiration placed in his heart.
The purpose of the Senior Choir is to sings Hymns of the church to glorify Jesus. Rehearsals are the Saturday before the 5th Sunday. The Senior choir ministers in song every 5th Sunday as well as for funerals and special occasions.
The Security Ministry is charged with securing the inside and outside of the church in an effort to protect the congregation and God's property. This ministry also assists the elderly and/or handicapped as needed.
